My Wanderings

Arundel, West Sussex

On the 13th November 2019, I went to the market town of Arundel. Located in the steep vale of the South Downs, it’s beautiful countryside and history along with interesting independent shops makes it a wonderful place to visit.

When I arrived in Arundel we parked near the pub the Black Rabbit. Which was sadly being refurbished and was closed. However, it had an incredible view of the River Arun.

Since the pub was closed I walked into the town itself. Arundel Castle was also closed due to the weather. So I couldn’t revisit it… this time. Instead I wandered around the small independent shops. I managed to find a lovely café called the LG cafe, where I had a cheese and ham sandwich and a delicious caramel chocolate brownie, if you like delicious brownies I would really recommend it.

I then spent the rest of the morning wandering alone on the banks of the River Arun and watching the swans before heading home. It was a great way to spend a morning.
